The Minnesota Made Ice Center, what was once home to the Midwest Racquet Club housing eight indoor tennis courts, is now the home of two indoor NHL size hockey rinks. The existing structures, with it's clear span truss design, allowed for a very efficient and cost effective remodeling from tennis courts into two sheets of NHL size hockey rinks. An eighty foot addition was added to one of the main buildings to allow for an impressive lobby entryway and the full length sheet for ice hockey. We also have spectator seating in each of the two primary indoor rinks of 250 and 150 respectively as the primary use for all rinks will be for training and clinics.
The overall property size of 5.5 acres allows for ample parking of 200 plus cars along with a third sheet of outdoor ice added in 2012. With an old school feeling, our open air third sheet is a refrigerated sheet allowing outdoor ice beginning the weekend of Thanksgiving. The outdoor ice surface allows for outdoor hockey games, team practices, and clinics until the end of February.
