Yes! Even if you skate with another AAA club or are just a good player who thinks you have a shot at making the team. The PRIDE could work for you. The teams come together for about 3 weeks ( mid March thru early April). We will have a couple of weeks of practice and then we are off to the CAN/AM TOURNAMENT in LAKE PLACID. The PRIDE is an annual hockey event. Our goal is to help develop the players passion for the game.
There is no better place to do just that than LAKE PLACID!
Minnesota Made Hockey also offers tournaments. First is The Pride Hockey Club which takes teams from Minnesota out to Lake Placid, NY each April for the Can-Am Tournament. It is an incredible opportunity to skate on the same rink that the 1980 USA team won the Gold Medal. This tournament does not conflict with or effect the players regular season hockey.

Competing in the CAN/AM TOURNAMENT in LAKE PLACID, NEW YORK

April 1-4, 2010
This prestigious international hockey tournament will be held at the Olympic Center Complex in Lake Placid, New York. This was the site of the historic TEAM USA gold medal victory in the 1980 Winter Olympic Games. CAN/AM has chosen Lake Placid as the site for the Challenge Cup Tournament because of what happened in the 1980 Olympics. It was something very special. A group of young athletes faced with incredible odds against achieving their goal, reached the ultimate...the GOLD medal, a symbol of being the best.
This is a chance to play in an international tournament at a level where few players ever get a chance to compete. In addition, the team will be playing at the very spot where the 1980 USA Team won the gold medal. All of this makes for a very special and memorable experience which will be cherished for years. These athletes may play hundreds of games and will forget most all of them, but they will never forget their trip to LAKE PLACID.
Lake Placid is one of America's most beautiful resort communities. Families will find plenty of activities from the Olympic Museum, skiing WhiteFace Mountain, hiking, luge rides, dog sled rides, swimming, shopping some of the other Olympic attractions (ORDA). This is a trip for the entire family ( and the grandparents). A great vacation and a great hockey tournament! What could be better?!
