Minnesota Made Hockey Clinics

Remember that guy that gave up?

Neither does anybody else.

Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.

Repetition . . . Repetition . . . Repetition

Hockey is an imperfect sport. Every battle in open ice, in a corner, in front of the net is based on forcing the opponent to make a mistake. Turnovers are an integral component of the game.

Hockey is also a sport based on skill. The ability to manipulate a rubber disk on the end of a stick while gliding a thin blade across a slippery surface with the opponent trying to crush you into the boards is not something we are born to do.

The athlete and team that is able to control the ice, control the puck and experience fewer turnovers is most often the team that wins the competition and the athlete that learns success.  This ability takes time, practice, repetition.

Skating, passing, stickhandling, shooting . . . skills that require constant practice, continual improvement. The competitor that finds success is the athlete that is never content with being good enough.

The key is to never stop perfecting skills.  Never stop getting better.
